Title: Microwave transmission lines study 01 Ref. No: EEE-1111/01/02/2018

Target Population: Eleven Semester (Fourth Year Second Semester) Duration:100 minutes

Aims/Rationale: The aim of this lesson about the microwave transmission lines study, so that the students
end of this lesson apply the knowledge of fields and waves to develop concepts of transmission line theory
and describe the basic operation of microwave devices.
 Learning Outcomes:
 Describe electrical characteristics of waveguides and transmission lines through electromagnetic field
 analysis.
 Analyze VSWR for transmission line and determine its characteristics impedance using a smith chart.
