***. SCENE OPENS WITH EXTREME CLOSE UP OF WILSON'S FACE.

Wilson lays still, his eyes are closed and he is covered in
dirt.
CAMERA GRADUALLY
BACKS AWAY FROM
WILSON TO REVEAL AN
OVERHEAD VIEW OF
HIM LAYING ON THE

watched you grow into the toughest
pollens I've ever laid my eyes on!
Wilson looks nervous.
OTS OF WILSON LOOKING LOOKING AT SERGEANT.

SERGEANT:
(Continuing)
Even our finest new recruit, Tommy
Wilson.
Sergeant points to Wilson as he mentions him.
HIGH ANGLE MEDIUM CLOSE UP OF WILSON.
Wilson smiles slightly nervously.
LOW ANGLE MCU OF SERGEANT.
SERGEANT:
You've not been with us long but I
know you'll make a fine soldier
out there!
TWO SHOT OF OTHER SOLDIERS AT TABLE.
The two soldiers smirk and mock Wilson between themselves.
OTS OF A SOLIDER LOOKING AT SERGEANT.
CAMERA SLOWLY
ORBITS AROUND
SERGEANT, WITH THE
SHOT ENDING IN AN
OTS FROM THE
SOLDIER BESIDE THE
ONE THAT THE SHOT
STARTED ON.
SERGEANT:
Now you all know the plan
HANDHELD CLOSE UP OF POLLEN CHIPS ON THE TABLE.

SERGEANT:
(Continuing)
Platoon 21 are taking the West
Exit 17, and you're gonna be
taking North West Exit 29.
Sergeant taps each chip with the stick as he mentions
them.
CAMERA PANS ACROSS
THE TABLE TOWARDS
THE NORTH WEST
TARGET.
Sergeant's stick follows the camera and then he taps the
stick on the target while talking.
SERGEANT:
Our only possible target is the
flower's stigma located North
West.
FULL SHOT OF SERGEANT.
Sergeant lifts stick from table and pulls it towards
himself.
SERGEANT:
Now luckily for us, we've got
strong winds of 232 grass blades
per minute coming from the South
East, which you're gonna need.
HANDHELD CLOSE UP OF WIND DISPLAY FIGURINE AS SERGEANT
MENTIONS THE WIND.
Sergeant pushes the figurine away from the camera with the
stick.
CLOSE UP OF WIND DISPLAY FIGURINE AND POLLEN CHIP.
Stick is lifted from behind the figurine and placed behind
the pollen chip, then begins to be push it.
OVERHEAD SHOT OF TABLE THAT FOLLOWS THE POLLEN CHIP AS IT
GETS PUSHED TO THE TARGET.
SERGEANT:
The wind should take you right to
the stigma, but we got winds of 42
CLOSE UP OF ANOTHER WIND DISPLAY FIGURINE AS HE MENTIONS
THE SPEED.
Figurine is pulled away with stick.

CLOSE UP OF ANOTHER WIND DISPLAY FIGURINE.
SERGEANT:
(Continuing)
And 67 grass blades per minute.
Figurine is pushed away with stick.
MCU OF SERGEANT.
SERGEANT:
Which may throw you in the wrong
direction if you're not careful.
Most of you will not make it out
there.
CLOSE UP OF WILSON.
Wilson gulps and sweats nervously.
MID SHOT OF SERGEANT.
SERGEANT:
But it is these kinds'a noble
sacrifices that will ensure a
brighter future, for pollination
and reproduction!
Sergeant slams his fist on the table.
OVERHEAD VIEW OF THE COMMAND TABLE.
Sergeant picks up stick and hovers it above the table's
surface.
SERGEANT:
All these red crosses, are the
flowers in the area that died
without reproducing.
SERGEANT:
(Sadly)
The flowers that have been failed!
Sergeant points his stick towards the target.
OVERHEAD CLOSE UP OF TARGET ON THE TABLE.
Sergeant taps stick on the target.
SERGEANT:
But this...

CLOSE UP OF SERGEANT.
SERGEANT:
This is the oppurtunity.
OVERHEAD VIEW OF TABLE.
SERGEANT:
Getting to the stigma is gonna be
the hard bit...
CLOSE UP OF SERGEANT'S HAND HOLDING THE STICK.
SERGEANT:
But if you do make it to the
stigma...
AS SERGEANT POINTS
HIS STICK UP AT THE
SCREEN IN THE
BACKGROUND, THE
CAMERA FOLLOWS IT,
THEN SLOWLY ZOOMS
IN TO SHOW ONLY THE
SCREEN WHICH
DISPLAYS A MOVING
DIAGRAM OF THE
STIGMA AND THE
POLLEN'S ROLE.
Sergeant tells the plan as the screen shows it visually.
SERGEANT:
You're gonna send down a pollen
tube, making a pathway through the
ovary and directly into the ovule.
After that you will deploy your
gametes down the tube and into the
ovule, which will then fertilise
the egg cell. Do that, and the
mission is accomplished.
CLOSE UP OF SERGEANT.
SERGEANT:
Now get your gear on men, it's
time!
2. ANTHER EXCAVATION POINT.

DUTCH ANGLE SHOT OF FLASHING LIGHT.
Light flashes red repeatidly.

WIDE SHOT FROM BEHIND PLATOON.
Shot starts off in darkness, but as big shutter door lifts
up light begins to enter in from the bottom, revealing the
silhouettes of the soldiers.
MEDIUM CLOSE UP OF WILSON.
Wilson puts hand in front of his face to shield eyes from
the light that shines on him.
PANNING MID SHOT OF OTHER SOLDIERS AS LIGHT SHINES UP THEIR
BODIES.
Soldiers grunt and stand fiercely.
MEDIUM CLOSE UP OF SERGEANT AS LIGHT SHINES UP HIS FACE.
Sergeant remains still with a strong look on his face.
DUTCH ANGLE OF RED FLASHING LIGHT.
Light turns green.
PROFILE SHOT OF SERGEANT.
Sergeant steps forward to speak.
HIGH ANGLE FULL SHOT OF WILSON.
Wilson tries hard to look brave.
PULL FOCUS SHOT OF SERGEANT IN FRONT OF ENVIRONMENT AS HE
SPEAKS.
SERGEANT:
Come closer men. There she is,
Sergeant points to flower in the distance.

AS HE POINTS TO
FLOWER IN THE
BACKGROUND, FOCUS
SHIFTS ONTO THAT.
SERGEANT:
(Continuing)
That's what you're aiming for.
TRUCKING SHOT THAT MOVES BACKWARDS, REVEALING ALL OF THE
SOLDIERS STOOD IN A HORIZONTAL LINE LOOKING FORWARD.

SERGEANT:
That wind is picking up! Go! Go!
Go!
CLOSE UP OF VARIOUS SOLDIERS AS THEY BATTLE CRY WHILE
CHARGING FORWARD TO JUMP.
MID SHOT OF WILSON.
Wilson gets barged past and knocked onto the ground.
HANDHELD WIDE SHOT FROM SIDE OF ANTHER, AS SOLDIERS RUN TO
THE EDGE AND JUMP OFF INTO THE AIR.
CAMERA FOLLOWS THEM
AS THEY RUN AND
TAKE OFF.
HANDHELD LOW ANGLE FULL SHOT OF SERGEANT AS HE SMACKS
SOLDIERS ON THE BACK AS THEY RUN PAST. CAMERA IS CONSTANTLY
BEING PASSED BY SOILDERS FOR SPLIT SECONDS AS THEY RUN
PAST.
Once all pollen have jumped off, Sergeant remains looking
off in the distance of the environment.
CAMERA CUTS TO A SHOT OF THE ENVIRONMENT.
Wilson appears on screen from the bottom as he gets back up
from off the floor and straightens his hat.
WILSON:
(Exhales heavily)
EXTREME WIDE SHOT OF ENVIRONMENT AS WILSON APPROACHES THE
EDGE.
EXTREME CLOSE UP OF WILSON.
Wilson pulls down goggles over his face.
CUTS BACK TO EXTREME WIDE SHOT AS CAMERA PANS RIGHT.
BRINGING WILSON LEFT BUT ALSO MOVING THE TARGET RIGHT,
MAKING IT APPEAR EVEN FURTHER AWAY.
OVERHEAD SHOT LOOKING DOWN AT WILSON ON THE EDGE.
Wilson takes one step closer to the edge.

CONTRA ZOOM TO MAKE
WILSON LOOK EVEN
HIGHER UP THAN HE
ACTUALLY IS.
FOCUSED PROFILE SHOT OF WILSON.
Sergeant approaches him.
LOW ANGLE MID SHOT OF SERGEANT.
SERGEANT:
Get out there now Wilson!
LOW ANGLE FULL SHOT OF WILSON.
WILSON:
But sir, they're... They're all
bigger than me.
FULL SHOT OF WILSON FROM BEHIND WITH SERGEANT JUST ON

CAMERA AT THE LEFT OF THE SCREEN.
CAMERA VERY SLOWLY BACKS AWAY AS
SERGEANT SPEAKS TO WILSON AND COMFORTS
HIM BY PUTTING HIS HAND ON HIS
BACK/SHOULDER.
SERGEANT:
That maybe true son. But the
bigger they are... The harder they
fall.
CAMERA GENTLY STOPS
AFTER HE STOPS
SPEAKING.
SERGEANT:
Now get out there!
Sergeant pushes Wilson off the edge.
AS WILSON GETS
PUSHED AND FALLS
OFF, CAMERA FOLLOWS
HIM.
Wilson spirals down into the depths of the giant grass.

THE CAMERA STAYS
FOLLOWING HIM, AT
ONE POINT IT
GRADUALLY GETS
REALLY CLOSE, THEN
AFTER THAT IT
STARTS TO BACK AWAY
AS HE FALLS DEEPER.
As wind blows, Wilson stops falling vertically and is then
launched off screen in the correct direction.
HANDHELD WIDE PROFILE SHOT OF WILSON AS HE FLIES VERTICALLY
ACROSS SCREEN AND ENVIRONMENT PASSES HIM AS HE SPEEDS.
Other pollens can be seen all around him but camera stays
focused on Wilson.
CLOSE UP FROM IN FRONT OF WILSON AS THE BACKGROUND MOVES
BEHIND HIM.
Wilson looks up.
HANDHELD VERY WIDE SHOT OF THE GRASS FROM AN EXTREMELY LOW
ANGLE.
CAMERA MOVES
FORWARD DURING THIS
TO SUGGEST WILSON'S
MOVEMENT.
CAMERA CONTINUES TO
MOVE FORWARD WHILE
IT CENTERS ITSELF
TO THE TOP OF A
BLADE OF GRASS AS A
HIGHER UP POLLEN
CAN BE SEEN
APPROACHING IT.
The pollen hits the blade of grass and falls down,
screaming. The camera follows his movement in a handheld
camera fashion as he descends.
PROFILE SHOT OF WILSON AS HIS HEAD IS TURNED TOWARDS WHERE
THE SOLDIER FELL.
WILSON:
(Gasp)
CAMERA CUTS TO A HANDHELD LOW ANGLE WIDE SHOT LOOKING UP AT
BRUTE POLLEN SOLIDERS AS THEY FLY NEAR EACH OTHER.

WIDE PROFILE SHOT OF SOLDIERS ALL FLYING NEAR EACH OTHER.
CAMERA FOLLOWS THEIR GENERAL POSITIONS.
SOLDIERS:
(Battlecries and
screaming)
Some soldiers are seen smashing into blades of grass and
falling, while others continue to fly.
WIDE SHOT THAT KEEPS TRAVELLING FORWARD AT A FAST PACE
THROUGH THE GRASS, WHILE SOME POLLENS CAN ALSO BE SEEN
FLYING ON AND OFF SCREEN IN THE SAME DIRECTION THAT THE
CAMERA IS MOVING.
FULL SHOT OF WILSON FROM IN FRONT.
CAMERA MOVES
BACKWARDS AS HE
FLIES TOWARDS
SCREEN.
Wilson looks up to the corner, then turns his body and
moves up in that direction, taking him off screen.
CAMERA CUTS TO SHOT FROM BEHIND WILSON, THAT FOLLOWS ALL
HIS MOVEMENTS AS HE SWERVES PAST GRASS, DODGES IT AND MOVES
AROUND PAST ALL OF THE OTHER SOLDIERS.
CAMERA BEGINS TO
OVERTAKE WILSON AND
FOLLOW THE BASIC
DIRECTION INSTEAD
OF A SPECIFIC
SOLDIER.
One soldier smashes into a blade of grass and pummels off
screen screaming.
CLOSE UP PROFILE SHOT OF WILSON.
Wilson tries to remain focused and brave.
Next to him, another soldier emerges and glances at
Wilson.
SOLDIER:
(Grunts angrily)
Soldier barges into Wilson, taking his place on screen.
OTS OF SOLDIER FROM OPPISITE SIDE LOOKING AT WILSON.
Wilson bangs into a blade of grass from the side and
stumbles a bit, while regaining his steadiness after.

CLOSE UP OF WILSON.
FULL SHOT OF THE OTHER SOLDIER.
Soldier laughs to himself while looking at Wilson.
Soldier forgets to look forward and smashes into a blade of
grass, he then falls down while camera starts to follow
him.
CAMERA CUTS TO MID SHOT OF WILSON AS HE LOOKS DOWN AT THE
FALLEN SOLDIER.
As wilson looks forward again towards the camera, he gasps
with fear.
CAMERA CUTS TO A VERY WIDE SHOT OF BIG SPIDER WEB.
CAMERA APPROACHES
WEB.
CLOSE UP OF WILSON.
WILSON:
No! No! No!
LOW ANGLE WIDE SHOT OF SPIDER WEB THAT SLOWLY TILTS UP TO
REVEAL OTHER POLLEN TRAPPED IN THE WEB.
MULTIPLE FAST CRASH IN SHOTS OF DIFFERENT POLLENS STUCK IN
THE WEB.
CLOSE UP OF WILSON.
Wilson looks terrified.
POV SHOT WITH GOGGLES AROUND SCREEN.
CAMERA APPROACHES
WEB MORE AND MORE.
Wilson puts his hands over his eyes, blacking the screen
out.
LIGHT REVEALS WHEN A STATIONARY SHOT
PLACED IN THE CENTRE OF A GAP IN THE
WEB IS SHOWN AND THE BOTTOM OF WILSON'S
SHOE IS THE DARKNESS THAT DISTANCES
FROM THE CAMERA TO SUGGEST WILSON MADE
IT THROUGH THE WEB.
CLOSE UP OF WILSON WITH HANDS OVER FACE.
He puts down hands and looks relieved to be alive.
CAMERA ZOOMS OUT TO FULL SHOT OF WILSON.

He pushes himself upwards off screen.
PEDESTAL PROFILE SHOT AS WILSON FLIES UP.
STEADICAM SHOT FROM BEHIND WILSON AS HE FLIES UP HIGHER IN
THE GRASS.
Other pollens can be seen above him.
FULL PROFILE SHOTS OF VARIOUS BIGGER SOLDIERS AS THEY BEGIN
TO SLOW DOWN IN SPEED AND START TO STOP, THEN THEY FALL
DOWN.
CLOSE UP OF WILSON.
WILSON:
Oh no!
FULL PROFILE SHOT OF WILSON AS HE LOOKS LEFT AND RIGHT BUT
STAYS AT HIS FAST PACE. OTHER SOLDIERS FALL DOWN PAST THE
SCREEN.
Wilson looks confused.
CLOSE UP OF WILSON.
WILSON:
Huh?
CAMERA STAYS
FOCUSED ON HIS FACE
AS HIS CONVERSATION
WITH SERGEANT
REPLAYS IN HIS
HEAD.
WILSON'S VOICE:
But sir, they're... They're all
bigger than me.
SERGEANT'S VOICE:
That maybe true son. But the
bigger they are... The harder they
fall.
Wilson's eyebrows raise and his face lights up.
He frowns with determination and pushes himself further,
then flies off screen as his speed picks up.
FULL SHOT OF WILSON FROM ABOVE AS HE ASCENDS ABOVE THE
GRASS.

AS HE GETS HIGHER
THAN THE GRASS, THE
CAMERA ORBITS
DOWNWARDS TO SHOW
WILSON FROM
UNDERNEATH. THIS
REVEALS THE GIANT
DAFFODIL IN FRONT
OF HIM THAT STEALS
THE CAMERA'S
FOCUS.
FULL SHOT OF WILSON FROM ABOVE HIM, AS THE GRASS BENEATH
HIM GETS FURTHER AWAY AS HE ASCENDS.
VERY WIDE SHOT OF WILSON AS HE FLIES UP, WITH THE STEM OF
THE DAFFODIL COVERING THE WHOLE OF THE BACKGROUND AS HE
FLIES UPWARDS.
PITCH SHOT OF WILSON AS HE ASCENDS TOWARDS CAMERA THEN
FLIES PAST, GOING EVEN HIGHER.
A HIGH ANGLE SHOT OF A DAFFODIL PETAL EASES IN CLOSER TO
THE EDGE, THEN BEGINS TO SLOW AS IT GETS TO THE EDGE.
WHEN WILSON ZOOMS
PAST ABOVE IT, THE
CAMERA FOLLOWS HIM.
VERY WIDE SHOT OF WILSON AS HE FLIES UP, WITH THE DAFFODIL
BULB COVERING THE WHOLE BACKGROUND AS HE FLIES UPWARDS.
VARIETY OF CLOSE UP SHOTS BETWEEN WILSON'S FACE AND THE TOP
OF THE DAFFODIL BULB.
SHOT VARIATIONS
SPEED UP THE
TRANSITIONS AS HE
GETS CLOSER, EACH

AERIAL SHOT THAT FOLLOWS WILSON AS HE REACHES HIGHER THAN
THE BULB, AND MOVES HORIZONTALLY ABOVE THE OPENING OF THE
BULB.
HANDHELD VERY WIDE SHOT LOOKING DOWN AT STIGMA, THEN CAMERA
QUICKLY CRASHES IN SLIGHTLY AS IT NOTICES THE STIGMA.
CLOSE UP OF WILSON'S FACE.
Wilson cannot believe his eyes.

HANDHELD FULL SHOT OF WILSON AS HE TRIES TO POSITION
HIMSELF TO FLY DOWNWARDS.
He moves himself in a downward swimming motion but
struggles.
WILSON:
No!
Wind blows and he is launched off screen as camera begins
to follow him.
MID SHOT FROM BEHIND WILSON AS HE PUMMELS THROUGH THE AIR
AND ENVIRONMENT CAN BE SEEN GETTING CLOSER TO HIM.
POV SHOT AS HE FALLS UNCONTROLLABLY.
Wilson panics.
As he manages to regain control the skyline and top of
daffodil bulb are in sight.
EXTREME CLOSE OF UP WILSON'S EYES AS HE REACTS.
His face shows fear.
WIDE SHOT OF WILSON. CAMERA IS STATIONED ON TIP OF DAFFODIL
AND FOLLOWS HIM AS HE FALLS DIAGONALLY.
Wilson smashes into the daffodil right in front of the

camera.
VERY WIDE PROFILE SHOT OF WILSON INSIDE THE DAFFODIL BULB.
Wilson bounces off the inside of the bulb and falls off
screen.
OVERHEAD VIEW OF WILSON FALLING IN SLOW MOTION.
CAMERA REMAINS
STATIONARY AS
WILSON FALLS
FURTHER AND FURTHER
AWAY FROM THE
SCREEN.
SCREEN FADES TO BLACK.
SCENE FROM BEGINNING OF FILM IS REPLAYED WHERE CAMERA
SLOWLY ZOOMS OUT OF WILSON'S FACE TO REVEAL HIM LAYING DOWN
ON THE GROUND.
EXTREME CLOSE UP OF WILSON'S EYES AS THEY BEGIN TO OPEN.

Wilson looks around and pushes himself up into a seated
position.
WILSON:
(Gasp)
CAMERA CONTINUES TO
ZOOM OUT ALL THE
WAY INTO AN
EXTREMELY WIDE
AERIAL SHOT.
Camera reveals that Wilson has landed on the stigma.
CAMERA CONTINUES TO
ZOOM OUT UNTIL
WILSON CAN BARELY
BE SEEN, AND THE
DAFFODIL EVENTUALLY
LOOKS SMALL.
CAMERA SLOWLY FADES TO BLACK.
