 BACKGROUND: A mother dies leaving insurance money for her two children who are now adults.
The daughter pursues her dreams of New York and the son makes the decision to continue living with
his father. The consequences of their decisions lead the daughter into life for which she was not
prepared and must find her way back. But to what? Her mother’s death has revealed the deep dark
secrets of her father’s sorted life that will change her life forever. The son faced with the truth about his
father has to decide what’s next in his own life.
The play’s theme is love and forgiveness in the face of life’s awful but inevitable circumstances and the
choices we make along the journey. Written by Elaine Hutchinson, this play is her 3rd since she founded
DREAMINISTRY is a dramatic arts organization devoted to promoting Christian values through theatre
arts.

PRODI-GAL The Homecoming Queen is receiving rave reviews. Pastor Wanda London of Payne
Memorial AME Church gives the play ‘two thumbs up.’ The Honorable Christine Davenport of the Anne
Arundel County Central Committee says she was ‘kept guessing to the end’. Psalmist Debbie Yeadon
says the PRODI-GAL felt ‘real’.
