METHODOLOGY

Apparatus and Materials

Pendulum is the weight suspended from a pivot so that it can swing freely. Therefore, in
this project, we used a list of materials and apparatus which were easily to conduct the experiment.
The apparatus and materials that we used were:

1. Table clamp
2. A string
3. Pendulum
4. Meter rule
5. Stopwatch
6. Electronic balance

Procedure

In this project, we conduct an experiment to obey the objectives stated. The procedures of
the experiment were done step by step until the results were obtained.

1. The materials needed were prepared

2. We tied a pendulum to the string and clamp the string to the clamp table.
3. We measured the length of the string, l using meter rule, starting with 40 cm. The
pendulum was displaced and released.
4. We took the time for 10 complete oscillations, t using the stopwatch.
5. The experiment was repeated by using different lengths likewise 45cm, 50cm, 55cm and
60cm.
6. The data was recorded.
7. We calculated the angular velocity, the angular acceleration and the velocity of the
pendulum using the data obtained
