» Worked for the GECDSB/YMCA Focus on Youth camp for two summers at Dr. David
Suzuki Public School. I love working with kids and learned many different things from this
experience, from entertainment to responsibility, as well as learning about myself. This
experience has allowed me to strengthen almost every skill. My second summer working, I
did co-op with it, which allowed me to think more and enhance my experience.

» Many skills learned from this camp, including how to leave your comfort zone, social skills,
problem-solving, leadership, teamwork, trust, communication and a real sense of how to
make someone feel included, comfortable and part of your community. Phenomenal
experience that has transformed me into a better leader and a better person.
April 2016 – June 2017 SHSM Health and Wellness – Riverside Secondary School
» I was a Specialist High Skills Major student at Riverside Secondary School, in the Health
and Wellness sector. Being a SHSM student has opened many doors for learning
experiences, training, and certifications I otherwise wouldn’t have gotten, and has allowed me
to explore the field of Health and Wellness.
October 2016 CIBC Run for the Cure – Windsor, ON
» Participated in the CIBC Run for the Cure Canadian Breast Cancer Foundation fundraiser
walk/run as part of the Riverside Secondary School team. Won the top fundraising school
team award.

» Through my volunteer experiences, I’ve enhanced many skills such as working in different
temperatures, working outdoors, working with people, communication, working under
pressure, teamwork, and time management. For these volunteer experiences, I gave my best
effort to all, arrived in uniform and took pride in being part of it.
