GENDER’DEFINITION:

Is the range of characteristics between two sexes (male and female). Especially
when considered with reference to social and cultural differences rather than
biological ones. The term is also used for indicate the range of identities that
don’t correspond to established ideas of male and female.
GENDER IN SHE IS THE MAN:
In the film “she is the man”, the gender is reflecting with stereotypes proper to
men and women. Also, It can be seen how the main character looks for equality
between both.
The main character wants demonstrate that women have to some abilities as a
man to do what they propose. She will fight for getting his dream; play football
with the some conditions as a man, there for will disguise of the opposite sex for

GENDER IN TWELFTH NIGHT:
In Twelfth Night, the gender, a socially constructed identity, can be performed
and impersonated with the use of voice, costume and mannerisms. The theme
can be explored in relation to Shakespeare’s profession as an actor and writer.
In Elizabethan times, all-male acting companies performed the roles of women.
The relationship between gender and performance is particularly complex
in Twelfth Night because the part of Viola is played by a boy actor, who is cross-
dressed as a female character, who disguises herself as a young man. Of
course, the text also meditates on the relationship between gender and desire.
GENDER IN THE ACTUALITY:
Nowadays, society is searching gender equality, that search is called feminism.
As well as exist liberty of identity and orientation. Today, we can say there’s not
only heterosexuality and homosexuality.
Feminism is the belief than women should be allowed the same rights, power
and opportunities as a men.
