 Served two 4-year terms as president of the USA, winning the second election with a
landslide.
 Abolished the Second National Bank of the United States.
 Completely paid off the national debt, earning a Congressional Gold Medal.

Colonel of the Tennessee Militia


 Helped lead America to safety in the War of 1812.
 Led troops to defeat the Creek Indians in the Creek War. (1813-1814)
 Served in the Revolutionary War as young as the age of thirteen.
 Earned a Thanks from Congress for serving and leading in the militia.

Domestic Accomplishments

 Issued the Indian removal Act which led to the removal of all Native American, they were
relocated to reservations which were in present day Oklahoma.
 Started the spoils system by giving Martin Van Buren a job as vice president in his second
term.

 Purchased the Mexican territory, which is now Texas, successfully with no issues.
 Put an end to what nearly was a war with France over paying impressment damages.
