CURB-65 Pneumonia Severity Score

Select Criteria:
Confusion (abbreviated Mental Test Score <=8) (1 point)

Urea (BUN > 19 mg/dL or 7 mmol/L) (1 point)

Respiratory Rate > 30 per minute (1 point)

Blood Pressure: diastolic < 60 or systeolic < 90 mmHg (1 point)

Age >= 65 years (1 point)

CURB-65 Score
0-1 Points: Low risk
2-5 Points: Higher risk

CAP: community-acquired pneumonia; CURB65: Confusion, Urea >7 mmol/l, Respiratory rate ≥
30/min, Blood pressure <90 mmHg systolic and/or diastolic blood pressure ≤ 60 mmHg, and age ≥ 65
years; ICU: intensive care unit; SMART-COP: Systolic blood pressure, Multilobar chest radiograph
involvement, Albumin, Respiratory rate, Tachycardia, Confusion, Oxygenation and arterial pH.
