Mugworts abound but reed buds are short; It’s time for the puffer fish to

be in the market.

Xiao Ming：Mike, an ancient poem is written by someone from ancient

times. This one was written by famous poet Su Shi.

Mike：I know, I know. This poem has something about "warm ducks".

This "warm duck" must be tasty?

麦克： 笑 什 么 笑 。 老 师 ，“暖鸭” 和 我 吃 过 的 “烤鸭”

是 不 是 差 不 多 ？ 您 看 ， 这 明 明 就 是 鸭子的鸭嘛。
Mike：What are you laughing at? Teacher，is "warm duck" kind of like the

"roast duck" I've had? Look，this clearly is the same duck character.

Teacher: Haha，you have quite a rich imagination.

小明：我的 天 哪，麦 克 ，“鸭”也不 都 指 “烤鸭”啊。这 句 话

的 意思 是 ： 春 天 到 了 ， 水 变 暖 了 ， 鸭子 会 最 先

感 到 。 “暖” 是 指 “水暖” ， 不 是 你 说 的 “暖鸭” ， 还

Xiao Ming：My god，Mike，the word “duck” doesn't all mean “roast

duck”. This sentence means: spring's here, water's warming, the ducks

feel it first. "Warm" is to describe the water，not the duck，nor "roast

duck ”！
