STEP 2: CHECK-IN
8:30am – Volunteers arrive to the Community Engagement Center
Volunteers check-in at front desk. They track their hours via their MavCARD and fill out a waiver form.
Volunteers sign-up for a project and eat breakfast.
STEP 3: COMMUNICATION
Introduce yourself to your bus driver. Confirm the address/project site.
Call your Project Contact. Introduce yourself: say you are leaving UNO & tell them the # of volunteers
Tell your volunteers not to leave anything on the bus.
Introduce yourself to the Project Contact and figure out the following:
• When/Where will they talk about the mission and vision of their organization?
• Where will people take breaks and eat snacks?
• Does anyone in your group have special accommodations?
• Ask them to give a tour of the organization.
• Division of labor & duties and explanation of items to complete
