birmingham

Jail
Analysis Dec, 8,2016

In a place where racism get you killed faster than kids get killed in
chicago. Back in birmingham 1963 April 16 Dr Martin Luther King Jr
was arrested for standing up for people and his rights. Even tho he’s
in a place where there is injustice he can’t just sit back in let bad
things happen that isn’t right. He wrote a letter from jail basically
saying that he need to make a change for birmingham and won't
leave until there people become equal and they have equal rights as
one.
King build ethos by writing , ”i have the honor of serving as
president of the southern christian leadership conference , an
organization operating in every southern state , with headquarters in
atlanta georgia. This increases his credibility because he takes pride
in what he has & his position he has with other states. King also build
ethos by writing “i cannot sit idly by in atlanta & not be concerned
about what happen in birmingham”. This increased ethos because he
wants to stand up for african americans and their freedom
“I Think i should indicate why i am here in birmingham , since you
have been influenced by the view which argues against outsiders
coming in. “ This is appeal to logos because he has a reason for
being in birmingham. In the same way “we have gone through all
these steps in birmingham. There can be no gain saying the fact that
racial injustice and this community. “This is appeal to logos because
king feels quilt in his actions that caused violence.
Furthermore, “but since i feel that you are men of genuine goods
will and that your criticisms are sincerely set forth”. This shows
pathos because it shows king is making the clergymen feel smart by
calling them “genuine good will. Also I am sorry to say fails to express
a similar concern for the conditions that brought about the
demonstrations. This is appeal to pathos because this makes king
feel bad about the demonstrations that has been shown.
In conclusion king stood up for african americans. He took pride in
his role as being president and fought to stop injustice laws. He gave
specific reasons about being in birmingham. However he was
criticized by his clergyman by being caused unwised and untimely
