Position Title: Lecturer/Assistant Professor

Position Location: BAIUST, Comilla Cantonment

Subject Areas: Civil Engineering

1. BAIUST solicits applications for full time faculties in the Faculty of Civil
Engineering. The successful candidate will:

a. Teach undergraduate courses that meet the circular needs of the university with
particular emphasis on fundamental education in all areas of Civil Engineering.
b. Teach specialized courses on basic water and hydraulic management
terminologies(such as fluid mechanics, hydrology, contaminant hydrology, open
channel flow, irrigation and flood control, river engineering and /or intelligent
system as related to water resources)
c. Take responsibility for the design, content and delivery of specific areas of teaching.

d. Ensure that teaching content is appropriately informed by current research and

advance scholarly activity.

e. Collaborate with colleagues in the continuous review and development of the

Department’s programs.

f. Work in accordance with the University policies and procedures to undertake

assessment of students’ work and give feedback.

g. To contribute to research through high quality publications.

h. Carry out specific roles and functions as required by the university.

2. Academic Qualification and Experience:

a. M. Sc and B.Sc in Civil Engineering from a reputed University. Must have achieved at least
03X First Class/Div/A Grade in the entire educational curriculum. Masters in Water
Resources Engineering will get preferences.
b. Must have CGPA 3.5 and above in B.Sc in Civil Engineering.

c. Proficiency in English.
d. Teaching experience preferred.
3. Salary: An attractive package basing on the qualifications and experience as per
University Service Rules.
