interests. I graduated from Alma College and have completed the requirements for Michigan Elementary
Provisional Certification. My majors are in Elementary Education and English Language Arts.

I believe in classroom programs that meet the academic, behavioral, and social needs of all children. I
believe students should be encouraged to actively participate and think critically. During my student
teaching time, I worked to plan, create, and teach lessons in collaboration with my cooperating teacher.
I worked with my cooperating teacher to implement effective classroom management plans and
routines that would be conducive to each student’s learning environment.

My background and career goals seem to match your job requirements. I am confident in my ability to
teach children. Additionally, I am genuinely interested in the position and believe that my organization,
communication skills and enthusiasm will be an asset to your school’s team.
