day 7 introduction
Day 1
술주정 bad drinking habits, behavior changes 술주정 is often used with the verb “부리다” and “술주정을 부
that one shows when one gets drunk 리다” means to show behaviors (that are often bad) that
one normally doesn’t show when not drunk.
술 취했어요? Are you drunk? Have you been drinking? 취하다 = to get drunk
이렇게 독한 술을 어떻게 How do you drink such a strong liquor? 이렇게 = like this, such
독하다 = to be strong (liquor, smell)
마셔요? 독한 is the adjective form of 독하다.
그 사람은 술주정이 심해서 He is a mean drinker so I don’t want to 그 사람 = that person, he, she
drink with him. 술주정 = bad drinking habits, behavior changes that one
그 사람하고는 술을 같이 안 shows when one gets drunk
마시고 싶어요. 심하다 = to be excessive
-아/어/여서 = since, because
-하고 = with, together
같이 = together
안 = not
마시다 = to drink
-고 싶다 = to want to + V
Day 2
피곤하다
피곤하면 좀 쉬세요. If you are tired, get some rest. -(으)면 = if/when + S + V
좀 = a little, please
쉬다 = to get some rest
-(으)세요 = imperative (polite)
좀 피곤해 보이는데, You look a bit tired. Are you okay? 좀 = a little, please
-아/어/여 보이다 = to look + adjective
괜찮아요? -(으/느)ㄴ데 = and, but
괜찮다 = to be okay
피곤할 때는 일에 집중이 안 When I’m tired, I can’t concentrate on -(으)ㄹ 때 = when, during
work. 일 = work, thing, occasion, stuff
돼요. -에 = at, in, from, to
집중 = concentration
안 = not
집중이 되다 = to be able to concentrate/focus
너무 피곤해서 지금은 좀 I’m really tired, so I’d like to go get some 너무 = too much, excessively
sleep now. -아/어/여서 = since, because
자고 싶어요. 지금 = now
좀 = a little, please
자다 = to sleep
-고 싶다 = to want to + V
그렇게 피곤하면 집에 If you are that tired, go home and get 그렇게 = like that, that much
some rest. -(으)면 = if/when + S + V
들어가서 쉬세요. 집 = home, house
-에 = at, in, from, to
들어가다 = to go inside, to leave
쉬다 = to get some rest
그 사람은 정말 피곤한 I think he is a really tiring person (to be 그 사람 = that person, he/she
with). 정말 = really, very
사람인 것 같아요. 사람 = person, people
-(으)ㄴ 것 같다 = I think + S + V(-ed)
너무 피곤해서 집에 I was really tired, so I fell asleep as soon 너무 = too much, excessively
as I got home. -아/어/여서 = since, because
가자마자 잠들었어요. 집 = home, house
-에 = at, in, from, to
가다 = to go
-자마자 = as soon as + S + V
잠들다 = to fall asleep
그 사람은 정말 사람을 He really makes people tired (by being 그 사람 = that person, he/she
around him). 정말 = really, very
피곤하게 만들어요. 사람 = person, people
-게 만들다 = to make one + V
운동을 시작하고 나서 덜 I think I feel less tired ever since I started 운동 = exercise
exercising. 시작하다 = to start
피곤한 것 같아요. -고 나서 = ever since, since
덜 = less
-(으)ㄴ 것 같다 = I think + S + V(-ed)
어젯밤에 꿈을 많이 꿔서 Maybe because I dreamed a lot last night, 어젯밤 = last night
I am really tired. 꿈 = dream
그런지 너무 피곤해요. 많다 = to be a lot
많이 is the adverb form of 많다.
꿈을 꾸다 = to dream
-아/어/여서 그런지 = maybe because, I guess it’s because
너무 = too much, excessively
Day 3
걱정
걱정거리 worries, concerns, something to worry -거리 is used after some nouns or verbs to mean
about “something to + Verb”.
걱정을 하다 to worry
걱정해 주셔서 감사합니다. Thank you for your concern. 걱정하다 = to worry
-아/어/여 주다 = to do something for someone
감사하다 = to be grateful
-아/어/여 주셔서 감사합니다 = Thank you for V-ing. (polite)
걱정을 끼쳐 드려서 I’m sorry for making you worry. 끼치다 = to cause, to have an influence
-아/어/여 드리다 = to do something for someone (honorific)
죄송해요. -아/어/여서 = because, since
죄송하다 = to be sorry, to feel bad (polite)
죄송해요. = I’m sorry, I feel bad. (polite)
그렇게 걱정 되면 직접 If you are really that worried, do it 그렇게 = like that, that much
yourself. 걱정이 되다 = to be worried
하세요. -(으)면 = if/when + S + V
직접 = oneself, hands-on, in person
하다 = to do
-(으)세요 = imperative (polite)
그런 걱정은 안 해도 될 것 I don’t think you need to worry about 그렇다 = to be like that
something like that. 그런 is the adjective form of 그렇다.

걱정을 하다 = to worry

-(으)ㄹ 것 같다 = I think + S + will/be going to, It seems like

부모님께 걱정거리를 안겨 I feel bad because I feel like I’ve given my 부모님 = parents

드린 것 같아서 죄송해요. 걱정거리 = something to worry about

-아/어/여 드리다 = to do something for someone (honorific)

죄송하다 = to be sorry, to feel bad
그 사람은 맨날 걱정만 하고 He always worries about things and never 그 사람 = that person, he/she
tries to solve any problem. 맨날 = everyday, all the time, always
문제를 해결 하려고 하지 -만 = only
않아요. 걱정하다 = to worry
문제 = problem
해결하다 = to solve
-(으)려고 하다 = to try + V-ing
-지 않다 = to not + V
Day 4
신나다
신나게 놀다 to have a lot of fun, to have fun playing 놀다 = to play, to hang out
그렇게 신나요? Is it that exciting? Are you that excited? 그렇게 = like that, that much
무슨 신나는 일 없어요? Is there anything exciting going on? 무슨 = what, what kind of
일 = work, thing, occasion, stuff
없다 = to be not there, to not exist, to not have
이제 주말이니까 신나게 It’s the weekend now, so let’s have some 이제 = now
fun. 주말 = weekend
놀아요. -(이)니까 = since/because it is + N
놀다 = to play, to hang out
-아/어/여요 = Let’s + V.
요즘에는 특별히 신날 일이 These days I have nothing particularly 요즘 = lately, recently, these days
exciting going on. -에 = at, in, from, to
없어요. 특별히 = specially, especially, particularly
일 = work, thing, occasion, stuff
없다 = to be not there, to not have, to not exist
너무 신나서 어젯밤에 I was really excited, so I couldn’t sleep at 너무 = too much, excessively

한숨도 못 잤어요. 어젯밤 = last night

한숨도 못 자다 = to not be able to sleep all night long, to

기회
절호의 기회 golden opportunity 절호의 = splendid, golden (almost always used with the
word 기회 or 찬스)
기회를 엿보다 to be on the lookout for an opportunity 엿보다 = to peek, to secretly look
기회를 노리다 to be on the alert for an opportunity 노리다 = to seek, to aim, to be after
이번 기회에 확실히 I’d like to take this opportunity to tell you 이번 = this, this time
clearly. -에 = at, in, from, to
말할게요. 확실하다 = to be clear
확실히 is the adverb form of 확실하다.
말하다 = to speak, to tell, to talk, to say
-(으)ㄹ 것이다 = will, to be going to + V
이번 기회를 놓치면 후회할 If you miss this opportunity, you will 이번 = this, this time
regret it. 놓치다 = to miss
거예요. -(으)면 = if/when + S + V
후회하다 = to regret
-(으)ㄹ 것이다 = will, to be going to + V

버리다
쓰레기를 버리다 to throw away garbage, to take out 쓰레기 = trash, garbage

쓰레기를 아무데나 버리면 You shouldn’t dump garbage just 쓰레기 = trash, garbage
anywhere. 아무데나 = (not) anywhere
안 돼요. -(으)면 = if/when + S + V
안 되다 = S + can’t/shouldn’t
욕심을 버리면 마음이 편해 Once you lose your greed, you will feel 욕심 = greed
peaceful. -(으)면 = if/when + S + V
질 거예요. 마음 = mind, one’s state of mind, how one feels
편하다 = to be comfortable, to be peaceful

소개

소개하다 to introduce
여기는 누구 소개로 알게 Who introduced you to this place? 여기 = here, this place
누구 = who (possessive)
됐어요? -로 = as, for, to, with, via, by, through
알다 = to know
-게 되다 = to get to + V, to gradually + V
소개시켜 주고 싶은 사람이 I have someone I want to introduce to 소개시켜 주다 = to introduce (someone to someone else)
you. -고 싶다 = to want to + V
있어요. 사람 = person, people
있다 = to be there, to have, to exist
이번에 저희가 새로 만든 At this time, we will introduce a newly 이번 = this, this time
