To Whom It May Concern,

I am writing to recommend Cali Reynolds for a teaching position at your school. I have
worked as Cali’s mentor for the past year and have nothing but positive things to say about
her teaching abilities. Cali has been teaching a fourth grade class at West Valley Elementary
during her intern year.

Ms. Reynolds has many strengths. Many teachers and parents thought she was an
experienced teacher. Her classroom management is exemplary. She teaches very explicitly.
If a lesson is not going well, she is able to adjust her instruction while she is teaching. She
practices all of the Big 8. Our school is piloting a new reading program and she has not only
been able to adjust the pacing and the lessons for her students, but also maintain the rigor.
She is very good at differentiating the curriculum for her students based on data.

Her classroom is a safe, comfortable place to be. One of her greatest strengths is her ability
to stay calm no matter the circumstances. She has had several situations in her classroom
that would have challenged veteran teachers (and administrators) and she reacted with
common sense and professional, practical solutions. She cares deeply about her students
and goes the extra mile to give them a quality education. Even as an intern, she has been the
leader of her team and taken on extra responsibilities that benefit the school and the
students.

Cali would be a strong addition to your faculty. I have no hesitations at all in recommending
her. We wish she could be a permanent member of our faculty. Please do not hesitate to
contact me if you have any further questions. You can contact me at 385-6465079 or e-mail
