Paid Angler Registration includes entry into tournament, tournament goodie bag, Check-in breakfast,
one raffle ticket, one entry to Awards Afterparty that includes light dinner fare and entertainment.
Additional Awards Afterparty tickets for non-anglers may be purchased for $15 each. Additional raffle
entries may be purchased for additional fee during the Awards Afterparty. Tournament shirts are
guaranteed to all anglers registered by April 18, 2018. After April 18, shirts will be provided if available.

All proceeds benefit Pepin Academies of Pasco. All financial transactions will be handled through Pepin
FIRST Pasco, a 501(c)3 non-profit organization supporting Pepin Academies of Pasco. Charitable
contribution receipts will be provided upon request.

Rules & Regulations: This is an individual angler tournament. Awards are provided to individuals. This
is not a team event.

1) Recreational BYOBoat division does not limit or restrict the number of anglers to a vessel, except
as specified by the safe occupant limit of a particular vessel.
2) All anglers entered in the tournament must be at least 18 years of age as of April 29, 2018.
Photo identification may be required.
3) Award-eligible Species: Snook, Redfish, & Sea Trout, except for Biggest Fish of the Day, which
may be any of the tournament fish or any saltwater fish with the exception of shark, ray and eel,
which are excluded.
4) This is a catch and release tournament.
5) Anglers must abide by all state and federal fishing regulations. Anglers must have a valid Florida
fishing license as required by law. Pepin Academies urges safety and safe boating practices at all
times.
6) Anglers are expected to show good sportsmanship and the honor system applies. Dishonesty,
behavior deemed unsportsmanlike or act of or reasonable suspicion of committing any act that
that results in citation by FWC or law enforcement will result in disqualification.
7) Anglers must have registered and paid by 8am, Sunday, April 29, 2018. We reserve the right to
deny entry to the tournament for any reason deemed appropriate by the tournament
committee.
8) All anglers entering the tournament must arrive at Catches Waterfront Grille between 7am and
8am to complete Activity Waiver and Release and receive official tournament measuring ruler
and angler number. Anglers may arrive by motor vehicle or by boat.
9) Hours of fishing are Sunday, April 29 from 8:30am until 3:30pm Sunday, April 29.
10) Fishing boundaries are open to any waters and tributaries including the Gulf of Mexico as far
west as you can safely go in pursuit of eligible species.
11) All fish must be caught by hand-held rod and reel. Bait will be available to Guided Charter
Anglers. Recreational Division Anglers (BYOBoat and Dock & Shore) must provide own bait of
angler’s choosing.
12) This tournament is photo release. Picture must be taken so that the entire fish, nose to pinched
tail, is visible and flush against the official measuring ruler provided as specified in 9) above.
Measurement length of the fish must be clearly visible. Photo must also include official angler
number. Anglers may submit multiple photos for consideration. Photos that do not follow this
specification will be disqualified.
13) Anglers must provide their own photo equipment. Only digital photos and smart phone photos
will be accepted. Photos must be submitted via text message to 727-237-0278 or emailed to
catchinforpepin@gmail.com and received no earlier than 8:30am and no later than 3:30pm the
day of the tournament. Photos received outside of this time frame will not be considered.
14) The goal is for the angler to catch the longest snook, redfish and/or sea trout. Non-monetary
award given for longest of each species in each division (Guided Charter and Recreational
Angler). Non-monetary award for longest fish of any species except shark, ray and eel will also
be given.
15) Winners are determined by the timely photo submission showing longest measurement of each
species in each angler division. There will be one winner for each species (snook, redfish, trout)
in the Guided Charter Division and one winner for each species in the Recreational Angler
Division. Winner of longest fish of any species as noted in 14) above will be determined by
combining both divisions and one winner will be announced.
16) Any awards dispute will be decided upon by the Tournament Judge by the end of the Awards
Afterparty and decisions will be final.
17) Winners must be present at the Awards Afterparty at time of announcement to claim award.
Awards will be presented at approximately 5:30pm Sunday, April 29, 2018 at Catches
Waterfront Grille.
18) Awards Ceremony will begin at 4pm, Sunday, April 29, 2018 at Catches Waterfront Grille.
19) The tournament will be held rain or shine. Registration fees will not be refunded for any reason.
20) Pepin FIRST Pasco reserves the right to change the rules until 7am, Sunday, April 29, 2018 and to
refuse any registration. Decisions of the tournament committee will be final.
