The way we see color, is from the Rods

and Cones in our eyes that lights reflect

in. Image the wavelengths hit a certain

part on the cone because of the

wavelengths, and the spot on the cone

sets off a signal saying the color is red.

Light, and colors are made from

wavelengths. A wavelength is how far the

bump or dip goes until the next bumb or

dip. To get a white light all the

wavelengths combine. You can think of it

as a solid line. A longer wavelength is

going to be a warmer color (red, orange, Cyan, Magenta and Yellow are the

yellow) while a shorter wavelength is cold subtractive primary colors. Each one

(green, blue, purple). Black is nothing. absorbs one of additive primary colors :

Cyan absorbs Red, Magenta absorbs


DEFINITIONS: An additive color is a
Green and Yellow absorbs Blue. Putting all
color that doesn’t cancel others out but
three subtractive colors together, takes
combines them. Subtractive colors take
away all colors, and creates black. Adding
colors away from other colors.
additive colors will make certain colors,

all together that is white.
