Heat Exchanger

Compliance with ASME

Welding of each joint will be done in the presence of Inspector
(outsource). Client needs the ASME Witnessing.
Scope of work:
Measure the Actual sizes of all lines and prepare the fabrication
drawing for each line with end to end dimensions.
Marking of each flange at their position.
Dismantling of elbows by cutting (Welding torch).
Manufacture the T-blocks Qty 07 with material available.
Material: AISI 4130 - Material: EE - PSL=3 -4, 84K - sour service
• Temp rating: P+X and K+X
Heat NO JY17518
Prepare the T-Blocks (Ali have prepared the Drawings) with over
size to make the adjustments atleast 2" size extra for
adjustments.
Beveling of all pieces cut by welding, Remove all the welding by
machining and make 37◦c bevel.
Inspection of ring Groves (Check thickness and skimming of ring
groves up to standard size) and Ring Gaskets (Replace if condition
is bad)
Tag the new manufactured T-Block with their respective lines.
Check the dimensions with fabrication drawings and check the
alignment for al lines at their respective position. Make
adjustments as required. End to End dimension should be within
1-2mm.
We need 15Kg electrode estimated. (We have 6Kg )
Bake the 10018-D2 electrode in backing oven for 3 hrs at 300C◦
Pre heating at 200◦C.
Start the root pas only and after completing cover this with
welding blanket.
After welding of root pas perform the MPI not DPT.
After MPI pre heat at 200◦C.
Start filling and capping and cover this with welding blanket after
finish.
After perform the final MPI.

Test Requirement:

After completing the Welding each weldment will be heat treated

up to 650◦C.
UT will be performed after 48hr after welding of each weldment.
Pressure Test will be conducted for each line separately at 15,000
Psi. We have 3 1/16" 15K Bling flanges for pressure test.
