- Students will be able to construct fractions to represent samples
- Students will be able to assess the fraction that represent the sample

Monitor the students to read the fraction number in form of the top number then the bottom
number to recognize the word name.

Engage (warm up, review prior knowledge): time:


-Teacher will write the objective of the lesson in the board and explain it to the students.
-Explain the components of fraction (numerator, denominator) using the flashcards, and present 15
a power point to warm up students to the lesson and explain the important key terms
- Teacher will explain the pizza game activity, the activity is a small cutting pizza's and a different
fraction, students in groups must glue the fraction with the pizza that present it. the winner
group will get a pizza candy from the teacher.

Core (introduce and practice new concepts & procedures):


-Teacher will ask the students to open their books page 594, she will open the book in the data

show as well. then the teacher will read the questions and discuss it with students, teacher will
make sure that all students get the chance to participate in the lesson practices and understand
the concept by asking them to answer at the board.

Close (wrap up, discussion, brief review activity or assessment):


-Teacher will ask students to close their books. After that she will have a two-different

assessment of the lesson for the class students. the assessment activity includes four questions
of some fractions and samples. Students must circle the right fraction that present the sample. In
the end of the class teacher will mark for students who finish. each student who circle it right
will get a sticker. This assessment in useful to see if students understand the concept or not.
