FANWALL TECHNOLOGY® Offers Many
Advantages Over Traditional Air
Handler Design:
• Smaller Fan Sections - Employing a fan
array of any capacity or pressure, FANWALL
requires a maximum airway length of 48” com-
pared to three or four times that amount for
traditional systems. This gives building
owners more usable real estate compared to
traditional systems.

• Greater Flexibility in Unit Dimensions –

FANWALL TECHNOLOGY offers greater
flexibility in unit sizing. Designers are able
to incorporate lower profile units where
height restrictions are involved.
• Higher efficiency and Lower Connected
Load – Fans and motors are sized for
optimum efficiency which often results
in a lower connected load and reduced
electrical service.

• Redundancy – FANWALL TECHNOLOGY

provides greater reliability due to
increased redundancy of fan components.
If one fan fails, only that portion of the air
flow is lost unlike traditional systems where
the entire air handler is off line. Alternatively,
the loss of air by one fan can be recovered
by increasing the speed on remaining fans
in the array.

• Lower Noise at Critical Frequencies –

FANWALLTECHNOLOGY is based on using small ®

high efficient fans operating at higher speeds

than traditional designs. Higher speeds
result in less low frequency noise and a
reduction in the amount of sound
attenuation required in the system.

• Lower First Cost – FANWALL® requires less

cabinetry, less fan and motor
support framework, and no sophisticated
spring isolation system compared to traditional
methods.
