UK graduate jobs market shrinks by 8% since 2015

There has been a slow decline in the gradient job market for a while,
the current headline show how apparent this has become. There can
be a number of reasons for this decline, but a foremost thought is due
to the record number of people going to university and as a result
this causes job opportunities to become more competitive. Although
there has been a decline in graduate job vacancies there has been a
substantial increase in apprenticeships and I think that there has
been an increase in people taking apprenticeships to fulfil their job
ambition and work towards it. In addition to this more people are
going down the apprenticeship path because of the apprenticeship
levy that will allow the government to help fund employers. To
conclude I think that more people are going into apprenticeships to
work towards their job ambition and due to the apprenticeship levy
which helps employers fund apprenticeships , universities becoming
more competitive with higher standard of skills means more people
are competing for jobs and thus the graduate job market may
possibly shrink further.
