PROJECT PROFILE:
Description: Our design is able to obtain Greenhouse irrigation control by using the developed
Rain water, Humidity and Temperature Detector-Alarm unit.
The designed Alarm unit was simulated in Proteus 8 Professional Suite. The circuit consisting
microcontroller, LCD, transformer and relay is built on a wooden board . The glass Green
house is built for the Green house irrigation purpose. The required supply is provided to all the
components used in the circuit. Different sensors are used to control the different parameters in
the Green house and to create a suitable environment for the Green House irrigation.
When there is no rain, alarm will be off. If the rain detector unit o/p is below 5000 mV indicates
the presence of rain and the buzzer beeps for ten seconds. Temperature inside the green house is
maintained between 35-45 degrees using bulb. Once temperature falls down below 35 degrees, it
is sensed by LM35 sensor and LED glows red, bulb automatically turns ON. Above 45 degrees
bulbs turns OFF. Soil humidity from 0 to 1000 mV indicates that soil is dry, LED glows and
hence the Motor starts pumping the water into the soil for 10 sec. Above 1000 mV indicates that
the soil is wet and led is OFF.
