Diagram 1. Total Losses

The severe losses of return period 20 years and 50 years are flash flood. The number of losses by flash
flood is 4,409,235 dollars, which is 1,742,025 dollars in return period 20 years and 2,667,190 dollars in 50
years. While, landslide hazard in 50 years return period is suffered severe losses compared with landslide
hazard in 20 years return period. The severe losses in 50 years period is higher due to the potential hazard is
bigger and the vulnerability area is wider. The vulnerability condition of exposed hazard area in 50 years return
period is higher than their condition in 20 years return period as an impact of economic and social condition.
There is different result of flash flood hazard losses, if the alternative mitigation scenario is applied. In
return period 20 years there is no different effectiveness between alternative 1 (engineering mitigation) and
alternative 2 (ecological mitigation). While, the effectiveness of alternative 1 and 2 is shown in 50 years return
period. The same condition also happen in land slide hazard. It is caused the engineering mitigation scenario
requires such a long period planning. The effectiveness from the two of alternative is also shown in table 4
below.
Table 4. Fund Saved
An0-An1 154345.64 Engineering Mitigation
An0-An2 144349.96 Ecological Mitigation
The engineering mitigation is more effective to reduce the risk rather than ecological mitigation. The
number of losses that can be saved is around 154,345.64 dollars.
