Just War Theory in the Battle of Bunker Hill

The battle of Bunker Hill was the war that started the Revolutionary War. This battle started because the
people that came over from England were tired of the British telling them what to do in the newly
founded land. This battle is very “just” to me because this is what started the foundation of America and
the colonist were just doing what they to be right. The British were completely trying to control
everything the colonist tried to do. The colonist were fed up with this and decided to start a revolt with
this battle.

However, lets dig deeper into whether it was just or not. According to the Just war theory, this battle is a
just war. The blood shed might have been unnecessary, and the British side was very uneven compared
to the side of the colonist. All of the colonist stood up for what they believed was right. This battle was
for what the both sides believed was right in terms of politics and religion. Finally, this battle was the
start of something that created a new country based on freedom and religious views.
