Synopsis

A mockumentary based around the life of a Gorilla called “Sunday” who enjoys his life living
with other animals, Sunday shows the audience his daily life and what he gets up too.
The mockumentary will study the life of a teenage fake gorilla and his life on a local British
farm. The vlog (Video Blog) style piece will show Sunday carrying out daily activities such as
socialising with other animals, eating, sleeping and much more of his laidback teenage
personality.
Target audience – 16 – 24 year olds.
Sunday is relatable to the common teenager generation.

Treatment
Intro – Long shot – Gorilla walking through field – Sets scene and context.
Fact file – Graphical facts placed around Sunday.
Vlog style – Sunday grabs the camera and begins vlogging.
Within this piece I aim to show how Sunday the Gorilla acts different when he is being
watched by people compared to when he is on his own.

The film will have a documentary feel to it due to the steady


camera angles and movements. The 3rd view of the Gorilla will
allow the audience to study the movements and body shape of
Sunday.
Fact file – Will list factual details about Sunday.

The second part of the film will consist of more of a mockumentary


like style, where Sunday takes one of the documenters hidden
camera one night and its fascinated by the piece of technology.
Sunday then begins to film / vlog his own life.
While watching the piece, the audience will see Sunday carry out
activities contrasting to a normal Gorilla.

- Socialising with classic farm animals rather than other Monkeys.


-Eating Junk food.

-General teenage attitude. (Links to the target audience)

The film will end with the documentary makers coming back to the farm and
catching Sunday filming himself, when Sunday notices he is being watch he
automatically switches his style and become a classic boring Gorilla.
