ORIENTE
The indigenous, especially of the central highlands, is characterized by its short stature,
its robust body, the man is very strong and hard to work, they have a great resistance. The
woman also of small stature, rather is thin and also of great resistance for the work, mainly
agricultural that develops next to her husband.

The Indians, both in the central highlands and in the Amazon, are of a dark complexion,
of strong texture, with straight hair and usually without a beard.

Through centuries of oppression and resistance, the Indians are cautious, distrustful, very
violent especially when they have ingested alcohol, because they pitifully do so to a great
extent. Indigenous men are macho, authoritarian and promiscuous, in large group
celebrations, which end many times in popular festivals.

Women on the other hand are obedient to their husband, unselfish and unconditional
companions of their partner.

GALAPAGOS
In the culture of the Galapagos, women are generally the ones who have the responsibility
of caring to their children and the chores of the house.

Most men work as fishermen, which has always been an important economic resource for
families in the Galapagos Islands.

In general the customs in Galapagos are very similar to those practiced in Ecuador, the
people are very warm, friendly and the Galapagos are always willing to help visitors.

Men and boys like to play football.

The Ecuavoley is also a very popular sport in Galapagos, it is simply a Volley match but
it plays a little different from the traditional volley game.

The Galapagos culture is a mixture of people who arrived to the islands from the Sierra,
the East (the jungle) and the Coast of Ecuador.

The people of the Sierra del Ecuador tend to speak more slowly than the people of the
country's coast who speak much faster and with a higher voice.

In the Galapagos Islands there are only 4 islands inhabited by humans, these are: Santa
Cruz, Isabela, Floreana, and San Cristobal.

Cruz, Isabela, Floreana, y San Cristobal
