EDU 221 Lesson Plan and Case Study Presentation:

Case Study Name: Boy’s Achievement

Group Members: Raegen, Randi, and Tyler

Learning Objectives:
1. Students will gain an understanding of the boy crisis in our school system.
2. Students will discuss causes of the boy crisis.
3. Students will reflect on personal experiences of the boy crisis.

Activities/Procedures:
1. Brainstorm the causes of why the boy crisis is a problem.
2. Students will be given an overview of topic to further their knowledge.
3. Students will be given an opinion on a topic, and they will give their opinion on why
their opinion is the cause and the other side is not. There will be no “in between side.”
This debate will be timed.
4. Students will be given a matching quiz with 10 questions, and the group with the most
correct answers will be given a prize.
5. After the debate, students will reflect on the topic, and will give their personal
experiences. Students can share with the class if they would like.
