Reflections on Observation Task 2: Teaching a Phonics Lesson

1. What program is used in your school to teach phonics?

- The program is called learn new phonics sound and letters.

2. How is phonics taught in your school?

After each lesson about learning phonics, the teacher gives to children iPad or

computer that have a program that supports the new sounds they learn. Besides, this

program has games with different sounds and letters it's more beneficial to kids to

determine how they can compare between different sound they learn and practice to

them how to say those letters and sound in right pronunciation.

3- What was the focus of the lesson?


Focus on how the children can say the letter and sound K, learn how to speak

it in proper pronunciation. Besides, the children can learn through it the new

words that start with letter K. such as, kit, king, and key.

4- Were the learners engaged in the phonics lesson? If they were, select (a); if they were not,
select (b).

the teacher used.

First, the teacher motives the children when she describes the letter k in wonderfully to graph the

children attention. Second, the teachers give to children memoirs and practice them how to say and

pronunciation the sound K. Thirds, given to children a chance to think and found the words that start

with letter K, and practice say each word with using the mirror to see if they do it well or not.
