Project Application Guidelines

■ Invitation for Application and Application Period


- Projects are selected through an application process which runs annually. Refer to a notice
regarding the invitation for project proposals posted regularly on the website in the second
quarter, while applications will be accepted through KOICA’s KOPIS System
(https://global.koica.go.kr).

■ Eligibility of Applicants
-APP(Academy Partnership Program) : Universities or Research institutes
-BPP(Business Partnership Program) : Corporations and corporate based foundations
-CPP(CSOs Partnership Program) : Any CSOs registered by Korean government ministries
or local governments
*CSOs: Civil Society Organizations executing non-religious, non-political and nonprofit
programs with the aim of assisting the improvement of developing countries.
- IPP(Innovative Partnership Program) : Development Actors (Academy, Business, CSOs,
etc.)

■ Partner Countries
- Among recipient countries that meet OECD DAC standards, prioritize countries that have a
KOICA office or Country Partnership Strategy (CPS)
* For APP, countries with a KOICA office or mission are considered.

■ Required Documents
- An official application form
- Project outlines (English and Korean version)
- Project proposal (English or Korean version)
- Detailed Budget Sheet
- Organization status report or corporate status report
* Other documentary evidence related to the project proposal (e.g. copy of NGO registration
certificate in the partner country where the project is to be conducted, agreement on the
project with the partner country, documents exchanged bilaterally, etc.)

■ Submission Procedure
1) Get an KOPIS ID first
※ For an organization that intends to participate in this program for the first time, please join
the KOPIS program first. (https://global.koica.go.kr)
2) Download proposal forms listed above: KOPIS-My Menu-Forms
3) Fill out the proposal forms
4) Register on KOPIS during the Proposal Submission Period (2nd quarter)
