Kindergarten and first grade. Second grade through sixth grade each have three sections, and
seventh and eighth grade have two sections each. Most students and families that attend
Regent Park are low socioeconomic, with 97.7% of students on free and reduced lunch. The
ethnicity makeup of Regent Park is 98.8% African American. The gender makeup of Regent
Park is almost split with 51% of the students being female and 49% being male. The school
scores just above similar schools in the district, and Regent Park last year achieved huge
growth in their Michigan rankings. As a teacher at Regent Park for 5+ years, it is an ever-
changing place to be with a lot of potential and a great culture for staff and students.
