SUPPLIER:
This Design Report has been prepared using the applicable American codes and
standards and the latest developments in engineering practices. A competent design
engineer prepared the calculations and another competent engineer checked his work.
The initials of both engineers are shown on most pages.
For your easy reference, all pages have been numbered and a table of contents has been
provided.
Please use this calculations package in conjunction with the relevant applicable drawings.
For any questions regarding this package please do not hesitate to contact our representative.

Notes:
DESIGN PRINCIPLES:
A non-composite assembly is defined as a wall stud application wherein the design neglects the
contribution of the attached sheathing to contribute to either the strength or stiffness of the wall stud.
AISI S220 pro-vides the following options when designing a non-composite assembly:
(i) Design using Chapters A through E of AISI S100 [CSA S136] with:
ΦN = 1.1 Φ
where
Φ = Resistance factor per relevant section of AISI S100 [CSA S136]”
NOTE: TO COMPLY THE REQUIREMENTS OF AISI S 220, the stress ratios results from CFS
analysis are to be multipied with 1.1 and then to be checked for stress ratio not to exceed 1.0
LIMIT
C/t ≤60 ( as per Cl. B 1.1)
w/ t ≤ 60
