BULL SHEET;
OK, y ou win. All of you. Since we an nounced a few catalogs back that

we planned to offer Super Bmm releases only later this year, we have heard

cries of anguish from both regular Bmm collectors who don'twant to have

their collections obso leted, and from Super Bmm collectors who don't want

to wait until later in the year to be able to pu rc hase our excl usive titles on SB. So

we've run up our white fl ag and we will begin offering Su per Bmm right now and we will continue to
offer regu lar Bmm on new releases as long as y ou regular Bm m collectors back up y ou r howls with film
pu rchases. In t he alphabetical listings you will find those items t hat we are now offering in Super Bmm.

20
But that's just the beginning of the good news. Now that we have made the decision to go ahead
with Super Bmm, and the large expenditure necessary to provide it, we also decided to "go the distance"
expenditure-wise and introduce a totally new and radically different type of Super Bmm and regular
Bmm film process to you. Starting immediately on Super Bmm (and later, after stock depletion on
regular Bmm) all of our Bmm releases will be issued by the futuristic METRO-KALVAR
I
method of
film processing. This process is different. The film you receive will startle you. It is a non-chemical,
non-silver, dry process which uses special film. The black and white prints you receive will not appear
black and white on the spool. They will be light green and white (that's right folks - GREEN!). But
w hen projected they will give you the finest black and white on the screen that you have ever seen. .
T here will be no grain at all to the picture, which means the picture is razor sharp; limited only by the
qu ality of the preprint used for the negative. The film is indestructible. Never again will one of y our
prints break during projection. But, on the other hand, forget about your old trick of snapping the
leader off with your fingers. By the same token, cement splicing is not possible and you will have to
use tape splices. You can buy a splicer for this film that welds the two pieces together, but it costs
about $1500. So if you decide to splice, either use tape or send it to us and we will weld splice it for
you free of charge.

This unique film has so many advantages over the old system that you simply will not be able to
imagine it until you have tried it. One of our competitors has been experimenting with it, so a few of
you may have seen this process before. Unlike that competitor, who has stated that they will charge a
premium for prints made by this process, we are going to offer it on all of our Bmm releases at the
sta ndard price.

A lso in this catalog we are introducing a new series of Super Bmm and 16mm feature condensa
tions. We think you will find that they are the most intelligently conceived condensations ever offered
from any firm. They are compact at two reels each, but they are great. They sell at $14.95 each in
Su per Bmm and $49.95 each in 16mm and should be a boon to the low-budget collector.

One tinal word - we look forward to seeing you at the upcoming CINEVENT 74 in Columbus,
Ohio on May 3, 4, & 5. A letter from CINEVENT Co-chairmen John Stingley and John H. Baker giv
ing f ull details of this delightful event appears on page 14.
