Panjab University Dental Institute Celebrates World

Orthodontic Health Day (WOHD)

Department of Orthodontics and Dentofacial Orthopedics at

Dr. Harvansh Singh Judge Institute of Dental Sciences and Hospital,
Panjab University organized a painting competition on the theme of
“Orthodontic Awareness” to mark the occasion of World Orthodontic
Health Day (WOHD) on 15th May. Many patients participated in the
painting competition, out of which Anshi won the first prize. Divanshi
was the runner up for the competition and Neha Dhiman and
Tikshika won the consolation prize. The winner and runner up were
presented with free orthodontic treatment at the institute and the
consolation prize winners won elimination of waiting period to
receive the orthodontic treatment.

Every year 15th may is celebrated as WOHD to marks the signing of

the World Federation of Orthodontist’s (WFO) charter in 1995
during the 4th International Orthodontic Congress® in San
Francisco. World Orthodontic Health Day is designed to tie the WFO’s
past and future together.
