Noun and Pronoun


- Noun is a word of a thing, someone, and place.
There are two types of noun :
 Common nouns : word for place, people and things
Ex. Chair, bank, gardener, etc
 Proper nouns : name of particular place, people, and things (always begin with
capital letter)
Ex. Ali Mustofa, Surabaya, etc
Nouns can be
 Singular : A computer, a boy, etc
 Plural : Star, books, etc
- Pronoun is a word to replace a noun
 Personal P : I, You, They, We
 Reflexive P : myself, yourself, itself, ourselves
 Interrogative P : who, whom, whose, what and which
 Demonstrative P : this, that, these, those
2. Adjective
Is a describing a word.
Ex. Smart, beautiful, powerfull, interesting, etc
3. Adverb
Is a word to describe the verb and adjective.
 Adverbs end in –ly
Ex. Beautifully, sweetly, happily
 Adverbs of manner
Ex. Safety, clearly, smartly
 Adverbs of time
Ex. Sometime, always, today
 Adverbs of place
Ex. Upstairs, here, there
