Informix11.5 request of software &hardware
 Request of OS：
The OS can support Anm2000&informix11.5：
windows XP professional、windows2003、windows
2008 server、Solaris 10. Windows XP need SP2
packet,windows2003 need sp1 packet.
☻ The OS must be 32 bits.
 Request of hardware：
The memory of server should be at least 1G，and the
disk should at least be divided into C&D. Small model
need 16GB, middle model 40GB,large model need 85GB
in the D disk。

Informix11.5 installation/ Informix Dynamic Server
 Enter the Informix folder，click the “setup.exe” to
start.

 Click Next >.

 Choose IBM Informix Dynamic Server 11.50 with J/Foundation &
IBM Informix Client-SDK 3.50

 Click Next >.

 Choose“I accept the …” ，no need to choose“Read non-IBM
…”. click Next >.

 Choose Custom type. Click Next >.

 The installation path should be C:\Informix. Than Next >.

 No need to change，just Next >.

 The default of User is informix，password need to be vislecaina.
Then Next >.

 Set the Server Name, Service Name is turbo, port choose 6000，
server number is 0

 If appearing the following wizard，that means the port name
“turbo” and port “6000” has been used. Solution ：open the
“services” file in C:\\windows\system32\drivers\etc, find this
information and delete it .
Delete it then save

 The configuration as following, the primary data location should
choose D disk, then Next >.

 Through this window we can check the information we have set
it. If it is correct click Next >.

 copy the installation files to the destination folder, waiting

 The installation of Informix Dynamic Server is finished. Click
Finish

 Then will start the installation of Informix Client-SDK 3.50
automatic
 click Next >.

 choose“I accept the …”. click Next >.

 Keep the default，click Next >.

 Choose Custom type and then Next >.

 Set the destination folder to c:\informix and then Next >.

 Keep the default，click Next >.

 Install >.

 Next >.

 No need to install the VSAI, Finish
No need to choose

Informix11.5 installation / environment variables
 After finish the installation of Informix, we should set environment
variables
 start ->program->IBM Informix Client-SDK 3.50->Setnet32

 Informix Setnet32 “Environment” setting
 Configure INFORMIXDIR = C:\Informix, INFORMIXSERVER = ol_anm,
click “set” then click “apply” to make it available

 Set OS environment variables
 System Properties > advanced > environment variable, create new
system variable INFORMIXDIR = C:\Informix\, INFORMIXSERVER =
ol_anm
Must the same as

Setnet32

 Setnet32>Server Information
“Make Default
Server”and click
“apply”

 Set the Host Information，click“apply”

 Once complete the SETNET32 setting，find the ONCONFIG.ol_anm in
C:\informix\etc, and open it use txt



 Find the Informix IDS - ol_anm service, enter the properties and set the
start parameters “-iy”，click“start”
（-i initialization system

-y confirm yes )

 Make sure that Informix IDS – ol_anm service status is running，start
type is “automatic”

 Check the informix database：
1. start ->program->IBM Informix Dynamic Server 11.50>ol_anm
2. enter “onstat – ” to check is there appears On-Line

1. start ->program->IBM Informix Dynamic Server 11.50>ol_anm
2. enter onstat –l (lower-case L) to check is return “40 total” information

ANM2000 installation and configuration
Add Microsoft Loopback Adapter, the IP is for

database

 Double click“Anm2000_Server.exe”

 Next ->

 Click Yes

 Enter your name and the name of your company

 Choose the language

 Input the name of Database and the IP address. The IP
address should be the same in Microsoft Loopback Adapter

 Input the username and password

 choose the services

 The fault path is D:\AEMS，Do not change the Destination
Folder!

 Installing

 Click

 Restart later

 Open the ol_anm under the Informix dynamic server 11.50

 Initiate the data space，enter the andb folder as following, then
input createspaces –s -t
-t need 16G disk space，can manage 100 OLTs
-m need 40G disk space，can manage 200 OLTs
-l need 85G disk space，can manage 500 OLTs
-s single disk mode

-d double disk mode

 If can’t create the data space due to the limits of authority, can
use the another method. Right click the “ol_anm” and choose
“running type” and use the user name informix and password to
login

 Chunk successfully added

 Enter createandb

Grant andb to anm2000 successfully

 Restart the OS and check the services are running
AEMS-DBServer
AEMS-Manager
AEMS-DumpServer
AEMS-CollectionServer

 Start the ANM 2000
 User name & password are both 1
