Questionnaire Results

This shows, that generally people listen to the radio for a short period of time each day, which
explains why I have made my show last only an hour, to suit the limited amount of time people
listen to.

Most people in this sample say they listen to the radio from 5pm to 9pm, which is in the time
bracket when I have selected to broadcast my show (6pm), to ensure a highest possible
listenership.
This chart reinforces that most people are reluctant to enter radio competitions. Whilst this
hasn’t persuaded me against the idea, due to its ability to add more revenue, the results have
made me reconsider the price of entering the competition. I have therefore decided to lower the
price and improve the competition prizes to make it more appealing, since it is going to be
difficult to attract people to enter.

These results indicate that pop and sport radio stations are by far the most popular radio
stations. Since I am doing a local sports based radio station, it encourages me that there is a
wide audience for this content since around ⅓ of answers were a sport based radio station.
This chart enables me to see that the main devices that people are listening to the radio on are
a traditional radio and on their phone/tablet. As a result of these results I have decided to stick
with my original plan to use analogue radio to transmit my broadcast.
