Lesson idea implementation:


The teacher will start the lesson with the following question “Do you know a famous person who made a
speech called “I have a dream”?” After leading a short discussion, the teacher will present the video, MLK,

from BrainPop. Students will be asked to remember one facts about MLK. After the idea, the teacher will list
the new ideas presented by the students. Each fact will be assigned to each student in the class. The teacher
will assist the students in creating a podcast about MLK.

Students will be divided into groups according to the famous person they select The group will research their
famous person using a BrainPop video and other resources. The group will present their information selecting
the livery mode of their choice.
Reflective Practice:
To move this activity to a LoTi 5 the teacher could publish the podcast and other presentations to the
classroom website. The final projects could also be shared during Morning Newscast.
