(1) Concurrent Copy ABEND after Micro-program Upgrade


Item Description
Contents After upgrading the micro-program to Version 01-19-95-00/00 or higher, the command was
rejected with EC=7D5C reported. As a result, the concurrent copy ended abnormally.
Conditions The problem occurs with all the conditions met.
1. A Concurrent Copy job is executed,
2. RAID400 01-19-95-00/00 and later
3. Completion of SESSION and registration of SESSION take place at the same time
(If Concurrent Copy job performs to multiple small DATASET, condition is likely.

(2) Performance Degradation for Sequential Read


Item Description
Contents When performing sequential accesses (multiple I/Os) simultaneously, the look-ahead processing
was caught up by the host I/Os. As a result, the performance degraded.
Conditions Sequential accesses (multiple I/O, especially in case 1 MB divided into 4 x 256 KB) and
performed on the same slot at the same time.

(3) DKC Response Degraded due to HDD Response Delay


Item Description
Contents DKC response degraded due to HDD response delay. Micro-program modified to fix the
problem. Blocking will occur when mode 144 is set to ON, the HDD, with response delayed
chronically without any error reports, will be blocked.
Conditions An HDD, with response delayed chronically without any error reports, exists under the DKC.
(Note) The HDD replacement rate may rise when the mode is set to ON. Please make sure to
discuss with RSD before using this mode.
