Blow, blow, thou winter wind is a bittersweet piece composed by John Rutter. This song
was performed in the final scene of Act II of As You Like It by Amiens. Amein’s envisions of
winter echo throughout this piece. This song is typically performed with 2 flutes, a harp, an
harpsichord, and strings. Composer of the song John Rutter CBE was born in London. He then
studied music at Clare College, in Cambridge. He now currently spends his time composing
music and conducting for the world’s top choirs and orchestras.
