Notes

1. API score is the Appraisal Performance Indicator score obtained from the Self Appraisal formats in Part – A
and Part – B of the PBAS.
2. Minimum Score : This is the minimum score required to enable the DFAC to recommend for annual
increment. For the year 2013-2014, an overall score of 550 is taken as the minimum cutoff mark.
3. DFAC Score is given by the HOD, based on the Three Member Departmental Faculty Assessment committee
(DFAC) assessment, constituted by the Director and Principal. DFAC report along with Summary Sheet
should be signed by all the members and forwarded to the Principal.
4. Director and Principal generally concur with the DFAC committee’s API score unless there is an obvious,
abnormal and deliberate hike or lowering of API score or they receive a representation from the faculty
member seeking justice.
5. Minimum scores indicated are provisional and will be decided by the FAB.
6. The PBAS formats are forwarded by the DFAC to the Principal along with summary sheets and are scrutinized
meticulously by the Appraisal Screening Committee (ASC) comprising of Director as the Chairman, Principal
as Member Secretary and the DEANS as members and submitted to the Faculty Assessment Board (FAB).
7. Further, each faculty member should enter the Self Score on a separate sheet following the format attached
herewith as Annexure I and forward the same in a sealed cover through the HOD, to the Principal.
