Subject: Noise Levels at 7687 Ave. du Parc

Dear Mr. Kevin Jameson:

Thank you for contacting me regarding your concerns about noise in your building
(SIMPLE)(APPRECIATION). I understand how much you value a peaceful work environment and
am doing my best to ensure that all tenants and clients behave in a respectful manner during
working hours (COMPOUND) (UNDERSTANDING/REASSURANCE).

On receipt of your letter, I called Ms. Brown to share your concerns (COMPLEX). As you may
know, she operates a successful booking agency, so playing music and receiving clients are an
integral part of her professional activities (COMPLEX). Ms. Brown was unaware of your
concerns and told me that she hadn’t received any complaints from you or any other tenants in
the building (COMPOUND). In fact, she seemed rather embarrassed about your complaint as
she was completely unaware that her activities had been disrupting your business operations
(COMPLEX). She also reassured me that she would make sure to keep noise levels down and
encourage her clients to speak more quietly in the corridors in future (COMPOUND).

Meanwhile, I contacted my lawyer, who informed me that immediate eviction would be

premature in this case due to the provisions of Ms. Brown’s lease (COMPLEX). She also
recommended that I follow up on my conversation with Ms. Brown with an official letter, which
I sent to her on Tuesday, May 5th, warning her that if the noise continues, I would be required
to take further action (COMPOUND-COMPLEX). In addition, my lawyer advised that I could
begin eviction proceedings if progress were not made within 30 days of Ms. Brown receiving my
letter (COMPLEX).

Thank you again for letting me know about your noise concerns (SIMPLE). I sincerely hope that
this problem will not occur again and that all tenants can enjoy a calm professional
environment in future (COMPLEX). Please do not hesitate to contact me immediately if you are
disturbed in this manner again (COMPLEX).

Sincerely,

Robert Devlin
