SAP S4 HANA is implemented in 3 different scenarios

1. New Implementation
2. System Conversion
3. Landscape Transformation

We do the following high level activity to implement the above 3 scenarios

1. New Implementation :
-> Set up SAP S4 HANA using Software Provisioning Manager
-> Initial data load using SAP Data Services (SAP DS) for on-premise (OP) and Landscape
Transforamtion for Cloud

2. System Conversion - from Classic ECC to SAP S4 HANA

-> Check add-ons and busines functions using Maintenance Planner to ensure compatability
-> Customer Code - Pre-checks help to validate software components
-> Custom code check tool to validate data structure conflicts based on Simplification Database

-> Run the conversion using the Database Migration option of Software Update Manager (DMO
for SUM)

3. Landscape Transformation
-> You convert the entire Classic ECC landscape to S4 HANA Landscape. There are some
mandatory activity need to be followed (we will discuss this in our next note)
