Task: Creating a lesson studies on Geometry topic from the National Library of
Virtual Manipulative website from UTAH state University. The web address can
be surf at http://nlvm.usu.edu/en/nav/vlibrary.html

Topic: Geometry

Sub Topic: Turtle Geometry.

Year: 5

Specific objective(s)
At the end of the lesson, students will be able to:

• Identify the logic programming using the turtle geometry software.

• Explore the numbers, shapes, and logic by programming a turtle to move.

• Able to accept commands expressed in a language called TURTLE TALK.

Learning outcome
• Students will be able to bring the knowledge of how to move the turtle into the work of
learning in formal geometry.

• Introductions to Turtle Geometry

Teacher will describe the characteristic of every each tools on the

software

Fig. 1

Figure 1. shows the name and action for every each tools.

• How to make a plan

Teacher will asked the student to make a plan for the turtle by giving the turtle a plan they
can make it move, turn, and change the colour of the trail it leaves.

First make a plan by choosing the blank format, then try it out, and change it by using these
buttons to make a plan:
