Skills are abilities to complete certain tasks. Development is the process through which
children begin to process and experience growth in certain areas. Social development is a big
deal for children to develop at a young age it is crucial for further developments. Focusing in the
way people develop their social skills as well as the emotional skills gained throughout life. The
period of time that the development occurs is in early childhood and adolescence. Maintaining a
health social development permits people to form positive relationships with family, teachers,
friends and many other people you may come across in your life.
Play is the process children undergo in order to explore and learn seeking to figure out
why things are or certain way or hoe they function. All three areas of development serve for
children to play and seek answers developing as they go, and all the information gathered helps
them with other aspects. Young children do not learn by being taught they learn by doing things

But if it is neglected and not consistently carried on it can cause your health to deteriorate and
can cause future health problems. Through physical activities children can gather sets of skills,
that once mastered can provide children with better opportunities to be successful and persistent

developing skills that promote diverse movement foundation. Such as functional coordination
and control, allowing successful participation in ontogenetically driven activities that may be
highly viable tactic to promote or encourage sustained physical activity across the lifespan”
(Breuer & Wicker, 2009). Children are being expose more to tablets and seem to not be able to
Becoming dependent on the social media web to gather their social development skills,
rather than going out to the park and making new friends like it was before. Through the Internet
you do not have any certainty that you actually know who you are getting to know. The media is
the main resource for mass communication with in the current generation.
People tend to make their decisions based off recommendations from the media, rather
than making their own rational decisions or derived from their personal emotions. A medium of
multiple means of communication is what media represents. Whether it is through the radio,
television, Internet or any type of social websites, newspapers, magazines are means of media.
Children are easy to manipulate through the media, because you just have to make things
look very colorfully and you have their attention. You can use popular cartoons to reach
children’s attention. Many times the children look towards the media or important people in their
lives as role models and what to be just like them or do what they do. Making it important for

sports. Activities that include recess, sports are all correlated with health issues. Recess allows
children to play for a short period of time through out the school day. Children will be able to
release tension for having to sit in class through out a long period of time.
I would have to that working with children that have exceptionalities there are a lot more
factors that can contribute to a child’s participation in activities such as recess, physical
education, are all essential factors that help the child build up on motor skills. Children do not
always want to participate in the activities therefore you have to find ways to engage them and
make the activity more appealing and appropriate for the children’s exceptionalities.
The classroom set up can affect the child’s behavior as well as the cognitive and focus.
Prevent displaying items that will take away the children’s attention from learning. I think that
over all having a strong communication between the teacher and the instructional assistants will
allow for a smooth preparation of activities and management of the classroom setting. When it
comes to the behavior management it is even more necessary for all the staff to be informed of
Certain factors can cause disruptions so it is important to know how to act accordingly to
the situation. The affectivity of behavior management allows you to focus that extra time on
effective classroom activities including all of the children. Behavior management can be a
distraction for the other children and takes time and attention from the other children. Focusing
on learning rather than the behavior management calls for a more successful positive learning
journey. When one child is upset it can lead to the other children becoming frightened or
distracted from the activities they are trying to carryout. Encouraging and promoting the children
to engage in physical activities will allow them to have a healthier lifestyle as well as allowing
them to de stress from being in an enclose environment for prolonged periods of time.
