Dream Home Reflection

What I learned: I learned that there is a lot of time and consideration when it comes to
designing a one story home. I made a blue print with pen and paper but as I started to create a
final draft on computer I realized that I had left out rooms that were important to me or would be
useful to have as I was creating a dream house.

National Educational Technology Standards for Students: Standard 4 4b: Students select and
use digital tools to plan and manage a design process that considers design constraints and
calculated risks.

Application of Skills Learned for the Future: As a teacher I could have students create as a
group a layout of a house/store/etc. that they believe would have an understandable layout with
smooth walk ways that would makes sense in a real life situation. Students that work in groups
will be able to brain storm ideas together that maybe be overlooked or forgotten if they were to
work alone.
