The book entitled: Semantics of Tarka is the result of intensive
and critical study of the linguistic form of Tarka, which
highlights the following:
• Methodological value of Tarka in Philosophy.
• Distinction between Tarka and Reduction-ad-absurdum
• Tarka as the imposition of the undesired (anitaprasanga)
• Formal or linguistic structure of Tarka and its significance
• Why is enumerated as one of the forms of non-veridical

"Symantics of Tarka" is an attempt to provide an account of what is
meant by Tarka both by the older and Navya Naiyikas. It also
shows
how this Tarka has been brought to a developed and superior
position
by the Navya Naiyayikas in the course of time.
Here an attempt has been made to present the utility of Tarka in
our
practical life. A conscious reader of the disseration can easily
understand how the method of Tarka is adopted by us every now
and
then in our day to day life to substantiate our own position by
negating
that of the opponents.

Bharati and University of North Bengal teaches Philosophy in the
University of North Bengal since last twelve years. Dr. Roy is
specialized in Indian Philosophy particularly Nvava system of
thought

Modern
Indian thinkers, which is evidenced from his published papers in
