 Teaching approach: the lesson is based on the Total Physical
Response approach and organized through the PPP
procedure

watching them miming the songs planned.

ROUTINE: (5 minutes)
Purpose: to start the lesson and establish rapport
Students know me; however, I will greet them and say my name. As
students already know the ‘hello song’, we will sing it together in a
circle.

WARM UP: (5 minutes)
We will sit on a circle on the floor; I will show them the numbers and
animals they already know. What number/animal is this? I will expect
them to answer according to the flashcard I show them.
PRESENTATION: 10 minutes
We continue sitting on the floor. I will present new vocabulary: fish,
giraffe, and tiger.
Numbers: 4, 5,6
I will ask students if they know the animals and how to say their
names in English, I will do the same with numbers. What’s this? Once I
have presented new items I will expect students to name new
vocabulary.

DEVELOPMENT: 5 minutes
