Background/Context:
This is an old and most popular courtship dance of the Visayan Islands. This
version comes from San Joaquin, Iloilo

Costume:
Female: Patadyong and camisa or kimono with soft panuelo
Male: Barong Tagalog or camisa de Chino and any color of trousers
Hand Props: Comb, powder puff, and handkerchief
Music: 3/4 composed of two parts – A and B
Count: One, Two, Three, to a measure
Formation: Partners face each other about six feet apart. The Girl is at the right
side of the Boy when facing the audience.

(b) Girl takes four waltz steps sideward, R and L alternately holding Boy’s headgently
at the same time looking at the Boy over his R and L shoulder alternately. Boy’s
hands on waist, also looking at the Girl over his R and L shoulders
