25th Day of June 2018

First day of our practicum At DENR CENRO Dagupan, Tabuk City, Kalinga. We attended
before 8:00 Am so that we can attend the Flag ceremony. Sir Reynald Islao (FOR Instructor) and
Sir Carlito Daodaoen Jr. (FOR Instructor) They introduce us to Sir Edgar DMO4 (Development
Manangement Officer) of DENR CENRO Dagupan, Tabuk City, kalinga. And He Heartly
welcome us, as their practicumers from ASIST ABRA. Then now our instructors turn over us to
Sir Edgar For Some instruction and Sir Edgar said that they also have 26 students practicumers
from Kalinga State University. Then they call for flag ceremony. We start with prayers, next we
sing the national anthem then the Panunumpa sa watawat. After that some Foresters have
important announcement, Specially Sir. Severino Dalutag the CENRO of DENR Dagupan, He
delivered comments about the Weekly Task work of the group. After the Special announcement
of Cenro. We introduced ourselves one by one. After that they welcome us in there office and we
oriented about our expected output until 12:00 noon. At 1:00 Pm we arrive at there office again,
Sir Jimson Ulao Under CBFM (Community Based Forest Management). Sir Jimson Ulao The
Planning Assistant Officer. He gave us more information about CBFM. After sir Jimson gave us
more info. We rest a little bit. And we meet sir Jayson Balneg Under INREMP PITA (Integrated
Natural Resources Manangement Program) (PInukpuk-TAbuk). He orient us how to use the
Geocam,GPS Status and Oroxmaps. Sir Jayson Balneg set our first field designation in Barangay
Pakawit, The Municipality of Pinukpuk, kalinga and instruct us of what we need to carry and go
there to help the site of EO (Extension Officer). After Sir Jayson Balneg announcement he said
us to go to Sir Edgar to ask if its okay That we need to go to our first field and rest. And
immediately Sir Edgar Agree of what we said, and we signed out in the record book and we go
home.
26th Day of June 2018

It’s Tuesday we woke up early because were going to Barangay Pakawit, Pinukpuk kalinga for
our first field. Before 8:00 we go first in the office to singed the record book. We wait until 8:35
Am, Sir Jayson Balneg came and Intrduced us the EO (Extension Officer). We meet Sir
Kristopher Bacyadan The EO under the INREMP PITA . And we Greet him a Goodmorning
and introduced ourselves. Sir jayson Balneg told us to help the site of Sir Kristopher.

At 9:00 Am We travel to Barangay Pakawit, Pinukpuk, Kalinga.

We arrived at 11:00 Am in DENR CENRO Pinukpuk . While We are waitng For Sir Kristopher
for the motorcycle to go in Barangay pakawit. At 2:30 Pm Sir Kristopher arrived with his
motorcycle and his companion. At 2:36 pm we start to travel to Barangay, Pakawit.

We arrived there at 3:00 Pm in Barangay,Pakawit, in the house of Sir Kristopher Bacyadan . We

meet the beautiful mother of Sir Kristopher Bacyadan and his siblings and his nephew. They
welcome us as their new family. They serve a coffe for us. And we eat coconut fruit. We have
many conversation with them.. they are so very hospitality family.
27th Day of June 2018

We woke up early in the morning to eat breakfast, after we eat , Sir Kristopher show us
his seedlings that we need to plant, they have four(4) species of fruit trees like mango,
rambutam, lansones and citrus. When we are ready to go in Mt. Baligod the site of Sir
Kristopher, we carry seedlings and at 8:00 am we start walking . At 8:30 am we arrived at Mt.
Baligod. After that, sir demonstrate us on how to plant those fruit trees, he got tape measurer and
we measure the area and we use spacing 10x10m for mangoes and 5x5m for the the remaining
fruit trees. Sir Kristopher said that before we plant the fruit tress, we need to compress the
seedlings before we remove the patting bag to prevent the damage of the roots and prevent
mortality of the seedlings. After we measure the area the others are digging,cleaning,weeding
and planting. until 12:00 pm. And then we go to the bamboo hut to have our lunch and have a
bit of rest.

In the afternoon , we continued our work until 5:00pm and we return to the house of sir
Kristopher to have rest.
28th Day of June 2018

It’s Thursday.We wake up early in the morning, while waiting for the breakfast. We
pack our things , for us to use in the field. When we are done eating our meal, at 8:00 am we
start walking to go in the site. When we are there , sir Kristopher assigned every each one of us ,
what to do. And we start measuring and staking and the others are digging, cleaning and planting
until 12:00pm.And then we go to the bamboo hut to have our lunch and have a bit of rest.

In the afternoon , we continued our work until 5:00pm and we return to the house of sir
Kristopher to have rest.

29th Day of June 2018

We conducted resurvey and tracking around brgy. Pakawit with our EO Sir Kristopher.
First he teach us how to operate OROXMAP, GPS status and GEOCAM for tracking. Then we
track each side hill while walking, each track we take 3 to 5 pictures around there , and proceed
to another sidehill to point again a track mark. We repeat that procedure until we finish and go
back home for lunch. After we eat lunch we pack our things ready to go back to our apartment.
We give thanks to Sir Kristopher Bacyadan and his family To accommodate us at there house
and for every meal they serve to us. We start travelling at 2:00 pm using the 2 motorcycle from
Sir Kristopher’s house to go in Centro Pinukpuk kalinga. At 2:30 pm we arrived at
centro,Pinukpuk and to wait about 15 minutes of the Jeepney then we start travelling from
Pinukpuk kalinga to Dagupan, Kalinga, We arrived at 3:40 pm in our apartment. And rest.
