Doors

Doors’ dimensions are : 2.1 m x 0.9 m x 0.05 m

The major types of doors have the same thickness 0.05 m but have a little differences in their
widths and lengths , depending on the location of doors ;

Entrances of the home : its height is 2.1 m , its width is 0.9 m .

Kitchens : its height is 2.1 m , its width is 0.8 m .

Bathrooms : its height is 2.1 m , its width is 0.7m .

Bedrooms and living rooms : its height is 2.1 m , its width is 0.8 m .

Balconies : its height is 2 m , its width is greater than or equal 0.6 m (optional) .
Kitchens
The kitchen should have enough area to accommodate sink ,
cabinets and lots of appliances that have different standard
dimensions .

The standard kitchen counter heights are 0.914 m .

Cabinet dimensions :

Sinks : their lengths are from 0.46 m to 0.559 m while their widths 0.58 m to 1.09 m
Ventilations Hood : should be at a height from
the floor greater than or equal to 1.52 m

Ovens : W = 0.457 m - 1.06 m , H = 0.56 m -


1.3 m and D = 0.53 m – 0.7 m .

Cooktops : W = 0.75 m -0.97 m L = 0.53 m –


0.55 m and thickness = 0.04 m – 0.1 m .

Refrigerators : W = 0.457 m - 1.83 m , H = 0.7


m - 0.81 m and D = 0.6 m – 0.83 m .

Dishwashers : W = 0.58 m – 0.61 m , H = 0.85

Each complete bathroom should be provided with the following :

2.toilet paper bar at water closet 5.towel bar

3.soap dish at lavatory 6.mirror and medicine cabinet or closed shelf space

Other important dimensions

1. Toilet paper bar should be at height 0.7 m above the floor and away from
the water closet a distance within arm’s reach about 0.76 m .
2. The distance from the center of the drain to the back wall behind the tank
is 0.32 m and from the side wall to the center of toilet is 0.46 m .
3. The height of lavatories above the floor is 0.79 m minimum .
4. The distance between two lavatories at a double lavatory bathroom is
0.76 m .
5. The minimum dimensions of a half-bath are 1.2 m x 1.2 m .
